April 2012

allllmooost caught up!

after the slower month of March, resting and what not we finally came to
April!

my mom {nana} came to visit again! wahoo!

with her in town we were able to paint our ceilings {not wahoo}
including our 18 ft ceilings!.....it was fun for about 0 seconds
as you can see, we started with a looooong pole....well that was hard {really, was it? YES!} so we rented a scaffold
since we had a scaffold we also put up crown molding
{my hard working husband, so blessed}

we also adding molding around the center of the room to add more design to the loooong walls
also if I ever get the itch to re-paint, I can just repaint the bottom half and not the entire room
as much as I'd like to claim the credit on this genius idea, I got the idea from another blog

 look! I helped too!!

 the girls took a break and did our traditional outing
TEA PARTY!
we always go to tea with nana, bebe and mawmaw
I started and finished my very first pinterest project
we had a pre-Easter hunt with our friends that we first met 6+ years ago when we first came to Georgia, we were all newly married and now we all have kids {with one couple's first on the way}

{ this looks good on you Johanna! ;) }
{this is the only picture I could get of all the kids
I had to tell them "look an airplane" that didn't work on Cole though}
then we had a family Easter hunt
Clover, being the only kid there, got all the eggs and attention
{cute bebe}
{a girl and her pawpaw}
{it was a long day}
we stopped to smell the roses

we had good times with our friend Cooper
{Clover pronounces his name with a french accent, Coop-air}

finished painting the kitchen, entry way and upper living room
{upper living room}

{looking upstairs from entry way}
{upper entry way}
{entry way}

I didn't take a picture of the kitchen, but here is a good shot of the color
it used to be green

the eennnnnd
I still have a little bit more painting to do, but after these big portions I'm taking a much needed breather

March 2012

and on to March in our catch up
{didn't think I'd come back, did you!}

March was relatively calm
we mostly hung around the house

Clover got her first baby doll...one of the only doll's I'll allow her to have
{I am very much not a fan of dolls, too creepy. But this one is a Princess Aurora baby doll and the eyes don't blink...pretty cute}
I participated in instagram's March photo a day with some friends which was fun

 {waiting for daddy to get home}
 I went on an AMAZING date...with the hottest guy I know
we started our never ending painting of the house
starting with the dreaded ceilings ... ugggghhhhh never again!
they were a tan color and made everything look so dark....so we painted all the ceilings white
the south is rubbing off on Brian
{remember this}

we started venturing outside now that the cold is going away

Clover - On The Road Again

Back when I was pregnant with Crimson I went to a good friend's baby shower {Elizabeth + baby Evelyn}
and her husband, Jesse {aka Uncle Jesus} came and hung out with Brian and Clover
and this is the result of that night

I'm just now sharing it because for the longest time I could not figure out how to put it on my blog!
well victory is finally mine

February 2012

and on to February
{can't believe I made it back to the computer so fast?? me neither!}

february was pretty random so this will pretty much be pictures with commentary
{which are the best}

First I found this picture on my computer and I probably stared at it for about 5 minutes and could not tell if it was my husband or not .... for a reference look at the picture to to the right of the screen

Clover got so good at being potty trained, she can now multi task
I believe she is reading beauty and the beast
 the girls are really getting along good
 this is how the play

 clover met a giant mickey which obviously she loved
 baby started clapping
 and standing
 we did an impromptu visit up to Tennessee to visit Brian's long time friend Anthony and his family
which was a blast! thanks Anthony and Marjorie!!

then just 6 weeks {or so} after our visit....Whitney and her kids just couldn't stay away, and they came to visit us!

{thelma and louise}

{3 days old and they are doing all the same things ... like standing!}

{our counterparts}

{ and this is why we are best friends}
 wish we could live next door to each other!! one day ..... one day :)

 the month ended with this girl learning how to blow raspberries ... and it was HIL-arious!

Catch up . January 2012

so I've been getting very friendly reminders that I haven't touched my blog in forever
we got a little side tracked at home {we're doing some home projects, but I'll touch on that later.....maybe} and I'm going to do try to catch up as quickly as I can

without further adieu....

January 2012

we flew home from Christmas vacation in California
just to hop in to the car again and visit my best friend Whitney and her 2 girls
{but I wrote about that in Best Friends 2.0}

some mom's from the church got together, and we took our girls to see Beauty and the Beast in theaters.
Apparently Monday nights are the best time to see old Disney movies replaying in theaters....we were the only ones in there. So we didn't have to worry about our kids being too loud.
it was fun....Clover LOVED the popcorn {well she always has}

it snowed a little bit {a very little bit}

and this is how we felt about that....

 then, at the end of the month Brian's good friend, Ryan, came to visit from California
and he got the sticky ball down from our 2 story living room ceiling HOORAY!!!!
it's been up there since waaaaay before we moved in....and it was gross
but it provided the girls some entertainment

and that is how we ended January .... with a big ol' sticky ball BANG!

Crimson: 8 Months & counting

. 26.5 in . 15lb .

. milestones .

eats solids: cereal, zuccini, carrots, pears
pulls up to stand
still wearing 3-6 month clothing....everyone thinks she that age too
started saying dada

I'm kind of on a blogging "low" right now. So this is going to be short and hopefully sweet :)

I love Taryn so so much. She is so happy and sweet. Her blue eyes are beautiful. I love having her with me. I love that she only wants me {even though it makes people sad that she cries when anyone else tries to hold her}. I love that she falls asleep on her own, though I wish I could rock her forever like I did with Clover. She loves Clover so much, even though Clover is pretty rough with her. She loves her daddy so much, just smiles at him all the time.
and that's about all I can muster up right now.
sorry....hopefully I'll get back into the groove soon.

"Shock" board

I'm sure most of you that have had toddlers know that most of their words do not sound the way they are supposed to

some of them are cute:

help and up sound exactly the same
Crimson sounds like "kim nim"
Indiana is "yaaa"
Huckleberry is "huh-bewwy"

and then others do not sound so good
sit
fork
chalk
{I'm sure you can figure out what those sound like}

so when we got Clover a chalkboard, she loved it!
but we were tired of hearing the way she would pronounce it
so we started calling it the "shock board"
hopefully we won't confuse her later in life ;)
